Learning Design

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY + MEDIA M.Ed. COURSE
Developed and teach an innovative project-driven course, EDUC 5905: Educational Technology + Media, an online course for M.Ed. students and K-12 teachers, with a focus on active, individualized learning relevant to students’ needs as educators, culminating in a final eportfolio demonstrating mastery of skills.

INTERACTIVE COURSE PAGES
Implemented a new tool, Atomic Assessments, to fully integrate learning content and fast, low-stakes checks for understanding in a blended course.

COURSE TEMPLATES AND FACULTY RESOURCES
Developed and implemented a school-wide transition to a new Canvas course template, including communication, training, and rollout to all course sites. The templates were designed to be easy to use and customize for teaching teams, but made the student experience standardized to reduce cognitive load.

FACULTY RESOURCE DESIGN
Design faculty training programs, including self-paced online resources with microcredentials and a week-long teaching with technology bootcamp. Provided visual design for online and print materials and created team branding.
Project Management

VIRTUAL WORLD CRISIS SIMULATION
Led a team from ideation to implementation of a time-based corporate crisis simulation in a virtual world. Simulation teams must work together to navigate a crisis with new and changing information they must react to in real time. Extensive user testing was required to ensure the game hit the sweet spot of challenge without being overly stressful.

TEAM-BASED SALES GAME
Led a team of internal and external developers in the rebuild of a team-based sales simulation. This challenging project required creative thinking to integrate the processes and productivity technologies of two discrete teams in different organizations in order to rebuild a complex simulation to stakeholders' specifications. The launch was successful, with both students and faculty reporting a great learning experience.

SYLLABUS REDESIGN PROJECT
What would a reimagined syllabus look like? Through brainstorms, focus groups, and sifting through data from our learning management system, this project sought to completely redesign course syllabi at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ultimately, this project led to the creation of a standardized school-wide course template that students love.

COURSE FEEDBACK SENTIMENT ANALYSIS
Review student course feedback to identify targeted areas for improvement in course design. Created visuals to help course design teams and faculty clearly understand where iteration is needed in learning designs.

WEBSITE REDESIGN AND PHOTO COLLECTION DIGITIZATION
A complete redesign and rebranding of the Cambridge Historical Society's website, including the digitization of the Society's image collections. Including housing of images, metadata, and robust faceted collection filtering tools.

INFORMATION LITERACY PROGRAMMING
Worked on a team to develop and deliver information literacy programming fully embedded within First Year Experience programming for new and transfer students. The project included pre- and post-testing to measure key success metrics and ongoing, meaningful engagement with students as they research and write papers aligned with individual interests.
